About the player
Roman Zhelezny came through Torpedo-BelAZ Zhodino's own pipeline rather than arriving as a transfer. Having started out in the Dynamo-Brest and Rukh-Brest youth systems, he joined Zhodino's set-up in 2022 and spent two seasons with the reserve side, where he scored 38 goals in 86 appearances — a return that helped the reserves to bronze in their league and silver in the Second League. That record earned him a first-team contract in June 2023.
His breakthrough at senior level has been gradual rather than immediate: by early 2026 he had made 11 appearances for the first team, with one goal and one assist to his name. He was part of the Zhodino squad that won bronze in the Belarusian Premier League in 2024.
