Rafael García

García was born in Aachen and started out in local football with Borussia Brand and Germania Dürwiß before joining Alemannia Aachen's youth setup, where he stayed until 2011. He broke into senior football with Alemannia's first team, playing in the 3. Liga in his first season there before the club dropped into the Regionalliga West.

García moved on a free transfer to Rot-Weiss Oberhausen, then Chemnitzer FC, then Waldhof Mannheim, then Kickers Offenbach and Düren, before joining Fortuna Köln in the summer of 2025. At Chemnitzer and Waldhof he had brief spells in the 3. Liga, but the Regionalliga was where he made his name.

Since then, Köln have gone up to the 3. Liga, where García has featured twice, though only for a combined 32 minutes so far.

He holds both German and Spanish citizenship but has not been capped at senior level by either country.
