About the player
Ruslan Bart came through Akron's academy in Togliatti after starting out at SDYUSShOR Perm, and by the 2023/24 season the forward was part of the Akron squad that took bronze in the First League and won promotion to the Premier League.
On 1 July 2024, Bart moved to PFC Sochi on a contract running to 2027, with reports pointing to a buyout clause worth around 200,000 euros. Against Baltika on 21 July 2024, he scored his first goal for the club and, at 18 years, eight months and five days old, became Sochi's youngest ever goalscorer, breaking a record previously held by Timofey Shipunov.
Sochi spent the 2024/25 season in the First League with Bart in the squad, finishing fifth and going into the promotion play-offs against Pari NN. The first leg away brought a 1-2 defeat, but Sochi turned the tie around at home, winning 3-1 through goals from Martin Kramarich and Oleg Kozyakin to take the aggregate 4-2 and secure a return to the Premier League for 2025/26.
Bart has also stepped up to international level with Russia's under-21s. He debuted as a substitute against Vietnam under-20s in September 2024, setting up a goal in a 3-0 win, and scored his own first goal for the age group three days later in a 6-3 win over Uzbekistan under-21s.
