Ben Siriki Dembélé

Siriki Dembélé was born in Bouaflé, Ivory Coast, but grew up in Scotland. He is eligible for Scotland, England and Ivory Coast and has not yet won a senior cap for any of them.

His career took off at Peterborough United, who paid a reported £660,000 to bring him from Grimsby Town in June 2018. By the 2020–21 season he was central to the side that won League One and went up automatically to the Championship. He scored 11 goals and made 12 for team-mates that year, which earned him a place in the EFL League One Team of the Year. In October 2020 he scored his first career hat-trick, against Shrewsbury Town.

On 31 January 2022 Bournemouth signed him for a fee in excess of £1.5 million. The move came in the middle of another promotion race, and Bournemouth won League One and went up to the Premier League that season. Dembélé scored twice for them, one of those a late winner against Blackpool. Top-flight football did not follow at the club. In January 2023 he went on loan to Auxerre in French Ligue 1 for the rest of the season.

He returned to England that summer. Birmingham City signed him on 13 July 2023 for a reported £750,000.

Oxford United then made him their record signing. On 29 August 2024 he joined for a fee estimated at between £1 million and £1.5 million. He is right-footed and plays mainly on the left wing.
