Sebastián Gómez Londoño

Sebastián Gómez came through the youth ranks at Atlético Nacional, but it was a loan spell at Itagüí Leones, across the 2017–2018 seasons, that gave him his professional debut. He returned to Nacional in August 2018, and the club he had left as a prospect became the one where he was made captain, a role that earned him the nickname "El Capi".

The trophies followed the armband. Gómez scored in the first leg of the Copa Colombia quarter-final against Independiente Santa Fe on his way to lifting that title in 2021, then added the Torneo Apertura in 2022 and the Superliga de Colombia in 2023 as Nacional's leader in midfield.

In August 2023, Coritiba moved for him, improving their offer to match the value Atlético Nacional had put on him before the Brazilian club agreed to purchase 50% of his economic rights. He signed a three-and-a-half-year contract to make the switch to Brazil.

International recognition came later than the club success. Gómez had been called up by Colombia in November 2021 and January 2022 without playing, and he had to wait until 10 December 2023 for his senior debut, since when he has earned two caps.
