About the player
Simon Seidl grew up playing for SV Kuchl before a spell in Grödig's youth ranks, then returned home to Kuchl for his senior career. Across four years with the club he split his time between the first team and the reserve side, with 22 goals in 43 appearances for the reserves, against 6 in 44 for the senior side in the Regionalliga Salzburg.
The move to FC Blau-Weiß Linz in July 2022 marked a new chapter. He reached 108 appearances in total and scoring 18 goals, and he was part of the squad that went up from the 2. Liga to the Austrian Bundesliga in his first season, netting his first professional goal along the way. Linz rewarded him with a contract extension running to 2027, signed in April 2024.
Seidl then moved on to SK Sturm Graz, where through six games of the 2026/27 Austrian Bundesliga season he led the league in assists, with five. At international level, he has been capped four times for Austria's under-21 side.
