About the player
Sohaib Nair joined FC Montfermeil, where he stayed for three years before leaving for En Avant Guingamp in 2022, initially with the reserve team.
Nair signed his first professional contract at Guingamp that year, running to 2025, and made his debut for the first team in August 2024. He extended his deal in February 2025, tying him to the club until 2027, before agreeing a transfer to AS Saint-Étienne on 1 July 2026 on a four-year contract until 2030.
Born in Saint-Denis, Nair holds dual French and Algerian citizenship and has represented Algeria at international level, receiving call-ups including in March 2025 and 2026, though he is yet to win a senior cap.
