About the player
Tamar Crnkic began the 2026–2027 season with three goals and four assists in his first seven matches for Austria Salzburg in the 2. Liga. He joined the club on a free transfer in July 2026.
His route to that point ran through Vorarlberg. He started out at FC Wolfurt in October 2012 and stayed until 2019, then moved into the AKA Vorarlberg academy, where he played at U16 and U18 level until 2023. In September 2022 he returned to Wolfurt's senior side and made four appearances in the Eliteliga Vorarlberg. That same year he played twice for the Austria U-17 national team and scored once.
The move that changed his career came in February 2024, when he left Wolfurt for the reserve side of SCR Altach. His 2024–2025 season in the Regionalliga West was his most productive to date: 42 appearances and 14 goals.
That step came in July 2025 with Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz in the 2. Liga. Across the 2025–2026 season he made 24 appearances and scored one goal.
A year later he moved again, this time to Salzburg. He has not yet won a major team title or individual award.
