Tavinho

Six years after he walked through the door of the academy, Tavinho made his professional debut for Grêmio Novorizontino in May 2025, in a 1–1 draw with Amazonas in Série B. Luís Otávio Maria had joined the club in 2019, at 14, and worked through the Sub-15, Sub-17 and Sub-20 sides — 60 matches and 15 goals across those age groups.

The Sub-20 team reached the semi-finals of the Paulistão Sub-20 in 2023 with him in the side. In January 2024 he was loaned to Fortaleza, though only for youth football: the Brasileirão Sub-20, the Cearense Sub-20 and the Copa São Paulo de Juniores. He was back in Novorizontino by December that year.

The first-team run built slowly. Twelve league appearances followed the debut season, with a goal and an assist, and by October 2025 he was in the starting eleven — part of a young core at the club alongside another academy graduate, Diego Galo.

He got one. Fifteen Série B matches and two goals in 2026, another ten in the Campeonato Paulista A1 with an assist, plus two in the Copa do Brasil. By May 2026 the count stood at 30 senior appearances, three goals and two assists. He plays as an attacking midfielder or forward; his stronger foot has never been recorded in the public sources. His contract with Novorizontino runs to 31 December 2028.
