Vilius Armanavičius

Vilius Armanavičius won the Lithuanian A Lyga in 2025 with Kauno Žalgiris, the club he joined on a free transfer in July 2023. The title came in his last season there. It followed a first taste of European competition with the club.

His route to it was not direct. Armanavičius came through the LFF Akademija, which he left in 2013, and began his senior career at Stumbras a year later. He made his debut in 2015 and stayed until 2018. In 2017 Stumbras reached the LFF Supertaurė, where they lost 0–5 to Sūduva. He then moved to Jonava, and in February 2019 to Atlantas in Klaipėda, each time on a free transfer.

His years at Hegelmann, from March 2020, were the most productive of his career for goals. He scored at least 28 league goals, and in 2022 he was named Toplyga Player of the Year. A move abroad followed in February 2023, to Caspiy Aktau in Kazakhstan. He played eight league matches there without scoring, and left within the year.

At Kauno Žalgiris he scored 12 or 13 goals and set up six. One of them came in the 2023 LFF Taurė semi-final against Šiauliai, in the 69th minute. It was not enough: Žalgiris lost 1–3 after extra time.

For Lithuania he made his senior debut on 12 October 2021, in a World Cup qualifier against Switzerland.

After the 2025 season he left Kauno Žalgiris and went back to Hegelmann in 2026.
