Vasily Kostov

Vasilije Kostov On 22 February 2026, aged 17 years, 9 months and 11 days, he scored against Partizan in the Eternal Derby — the youngest goalscorer in the history of the fixture.

Kostov's path to that moment ran entirely through Crvena zvezda. He arrived at the club's academy in 2016 after starting out at SF Royal in Belgrade, and worked through every youth age group before being promoted to the first team on 3 January 2025. His senior debut followed a few months later, on 6 April 2025, when he came on as a substitute against OFK Beograd in the Serbian SuperLiga.

The club moved quickly to tie him down. He signed a contract extension in November 2024 running to 2027, then agreed a further extension on 31 October 2025 that keeps him at Crvena zvezda until June 2028. In the 2025/26 season he won both the Serbian SuperLiga and the Serbian Cup with the club.

He was named to the Team of the Tournament at the 2024 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. He has represented Serbia from under-15 level upwards, scoring goals at under-16 and under-17 level, and has since been capped once by the senior national side.
