Vladan Kovačević

Vladan Kovačević arrives at Norwich City carrying a reputation for consistency forged in the Polish top flight. After securing two Ekstraklasa titles with Raków Częstochowa, the goalkeeper moved to Sporting CP before his current transfer. His journey began in Banja Luka, where he developed at Željezničar and Sarajevo before making the leap to Poland.

At Raków, Kovačević established himself as the league’s standout performer. He won the Ekstraklasa Goalkeeper of the Season award in consecutive campaigns, a feat that underscored his reliability. During this period, he set a record of 738 consecutive minutes without conceding a goal in the Ekstraklasa. The confidence he built there allowed him to command the defensive line. He won the Polish Cup and Super Cup alongside the league title, cementing his status as one of the division's best.

A move to Sporting CP followed in 2024, but playing opportunities were scarce. With only six league appearances under his belt, the club facilitated a loan to Legia Warsaw. There, he contributed to a Polish Cup victory, making six appearances to stabilise the squad. The experience provided a brief respite but did not alter his future trajectory. He soon returned to the Premier League.

Kovačević joined Norwich City in June 2025 on a four-year deal. He has since featured in over forty league matches. His physical presence, standing 192 cm tall, complements his experience. He wears the number one shirt and commands the area with authority. His international career remains limited, having earned seven caps for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s under-21 side. He was called up to the senior national team in 2019 but did not debut.

His path to Norwich has been defined by steady progress rather than sudden bursts of fame.
