Vladislav Melko

Vladislav Melko's career changed direction with a phone call in the winter of 2023: on 2 February that year, BATE Borisov sent the young left-back out on loan to Torpedo-BelAZ Zhodino. It proved decisive. With Torpedo he won the Belarus Cup, beating BATE itself in the final on 28 May 2023.

Melko had come through BATE's own ranks, playing two seasons for the reserve side before making his senior debut on 18 July 2022. But it was at Zhodino that his career took shape, and on 17 January 2024 he made the move permanent, signing a three-year contract as a free agent.

Between those two dates came a serious setback. On 8 October 2023 he suffered a torn ACL, an injury that ended his season there and then. He did not return to action until 9 June 2024, turning out for Torpedo-BelAZ-2 as he worked his way back. He has since gone on to log regular minutes for the first team, including a 2025 Vysshaya Liga campaign in which he made 24 appearances and set up two goals.

Melko has also featured on the European stage, making his UEFA Conference League debut against AEL Limassol on 2 August 2023, and has represented Belarus at youth level, with caps for both the under-19 and under-21 sides. At club level he added a bronze medal in the Belarusian championship in 2023, and returned to a Belarus Cup final in 2025, this time finishing on the losing side against Neman Grodno.
