Wallisson Luiz Alves Máximo

Wallisson was born in Central de Minas, in Minas Gerais. He started out at União Luziense, then moved through Holanda, Democrata, Ponte Nova and Serra Macaense, with loan spells breaking up his time at Democrata.

His move to Ponte Preta in 2022 brought his best individual return, five goals in 30 appearances, though his departure that December was clouded by allegations of unpaid wages. Cruzeiro picked him up in January 2023, and after 19 appearances there, Portuguese side Moreirense signed him for a fee of around €350,000 that August.

Coritiba first took him on loan in 2025, a spell in which he made 30 appearances, scored once and helped the side lift the Série B title. That loan converted into a permanent deal in January 2026, when Coritiba paid roughly €1 million for 80% of his economic rights. He wore the number 8 shirt in Curitiba. His stay there, though, was brief: on 31 July 2026 he was sold to Mirassol for R$3 million, with the deal split so that Mirassol held 40% of his rights, Coritiba retained 40% and Athletic-MG kept the remaining 20%. He made his Série A debut for Mirassol.

Alongside the Série B medal with Coritiba, Wallisson has also won the Copa Espírito Santo with Nova Venécia and the Campeonato Mineiro with Athletic-MG.
