About the player
Yevhen Protasov won the 2022 Lithuanian Supercup with Sūduva, the one major team honour of his career so far.
He started at FC Melitopol in his home city, then moved to the Zorya Luhansk academy. There he played 31 games for the youth and reserve sides and scored three goals, but he never appeared for the first team. His senior career began at Oleksandriya, where he stayed from 2016 to 2020.
After Oleksandriya he moved on often. He spent 2020–2021 at Volyn Lutsk and then joined Metalist 1925 Kharkiv. From there he went to Sūduva on a free transfer, and stayed for the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Telavi followed in 2023–2024. In 2024 he played for both Neftchi Kochkor-Ata and Stilon Gorzów Wielkopolski. Stilon released him on a free transfer to Naftan Novopolotsk, where he played in 2025.
His only international appearance came for the Ukraine Under-21 side in 2018, in a match against Andorra. He has not played for the senior national team.
In January 2026 he joined FC Vitebsk, again on a free transfer.
