About the player
Zakhar Baranok signed with Torpedo-BelAZ Zhodino from the ABFF Academy in August 2023. His debut for Torpedo-BelAZ-2 came in April 2024 against Orsha, and progress from there followed a patient path: a senior debut only arrived in October 2025, against BATE Borisov, with his first championship start for the main team following in March 2026 against ML Vitebsk.
Along the way he already had a taste of silverware without kicking a ball in the biggest moment — Baranok was part of the squad that won the Belarusian Super Cup in March 2024, beating Dynamo Minsk on penalties, though he watched that one from the bench. The club rewarded his development in January 2026 with a contract extension through the end of 2027.
Baranok has also built a steady record for Belarus at youth level, moving up through the U16, U17 and U19 age groups and scoring at both U16 and U17 stage, though a senior international call-up has not yet followed. Football runs in the family: his brother, Nikita Baranok, is also a professional player.
