Al Diriyah

Diriyah Club play their home matches at the stadium named after Prince Turki bin Abdul Aziz, known as the SGH Arena, a 15,000-seat ground in Riyadh that belongs to Al-Riyadh club rather than to Diriyah itself — the town of Diriyah lies just outside the capital, in the district that gave the club its name.

The club was formed in 1976 in Riyadh's Al-Khalidiyah district, with its headquarters later moved to Diriyah. For most of its history it played in dark maroon, a colour chosen to echo the mudbrick walls of the old town. That link ended in September 2025, when the club shortened its name from Al-Diriyah to Diriyah and replaced the maroon with a sandy shade it calls Diriyah Tan. From the 2026/27 season the home kit is white with dark green and gold trim, the away kit dark green with gold.

The rebrand followed a change of ownership: on 12 July 2024, Diriyah Company, part of the Public Investment Fund's structure, took control of the club, with Prince Khalid bin Mohammed chairing the board.

Diriyah's honours have come almost entirely in the lower tiers. The club won the Second Division title in 2012-13, then again in 2024-25, having finished runner-up in the same competition in 2019-20 and second in the fourth-tier Third Division back in 2006-07. None of that carried the weight of 23 May 2026, when Diriyah beat Al-Ula 2-1 in the First Division play-off final to reach the Saudi Pro League for the first time — half a century after the club had been founded in a district of the very city it was now set to play in at the top level.
