Bouaké

Fixtures against Stella Club d'Adjamé and CO Korhogo are significant for Bouaké FC.

Bouaké FC came later, formed in 2007, and has had to build a name of its own in a city that already knew what a champion looked like.

The single trophy that matters here is the 2013–14 Ligue 2 title, sealed with a 2–1 win over Stade d'Abidjan in the final and the promotion that came with it. Ligue 1 itself has been tougher going: fifth place in 2018–19 stands as the high point, with no Coupe de Côte d'Ivoire or league title to set alongside it.

Badra Ali Sangaré arrived between the posts in 2025 already an AFCON winner from 2023, a rare case of a title won elsewhere walking through the door. Salif Bagaté, a forward who captained the side, is remembered more for what he gave the shirt than for what it won.

Home games are played at the Stade de la Paix, expanded to 40,000 seats for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, a stage far larger than a Ligue 2-era club would once have expected to fill. It was in that same division, well below the ground's current capacity, that the club first made its name worth mentioning at all.
