Budućnost Women

In May 2016 a women's team that had spent a decade playing as ŽFK Palma took on a new name, ŽFK Budućnost Podgorica, and folded itself into the SD Budućnost sports society.

That head start showed early. Under the Palma name, the club won the inaugural two seasons of the national women's league, in 2008–09 and 2009–10, back when the competition was still called the Trofej FSCG. Budućnost finished runners-up in 2019–20 before winning again in 2024–25, this time under the name it still carries.

The team trains and plays at Stadion Trening kamp FSCG Stari Aerodrom. Colours and nickname are shared with the men's side: blue and white, "Plavi." City derbies against ŽFK Mladost 2015 carry the weight of that shared identity, while the sharper title rivalry in recent seasons has come from ŽFK Breznica, based in Pljevlja.

The side has also reached qualifying rounds of the UEFA Women's Champions League, a stage few clubs from Montenegro get to.

One trophy has never come to Podgorica. The Montenegrin Women's Cup, running since 2015, has stayed with other clubs — Ekonomist and Mladost 2015 among them — leaving Budućnost's league pedigree without a domestic cup to match it.
