The Southern Counties Challenge Cup has produced the sharpest edge in Caledonian Braves' short history: a losing final against Dalbeattie Star in 2021–22, then two straight wins over the same opponent the following two seasons. That run against Dalbeattie Star, along with regular meetings with the University of Stirling and Musselburgh Athletic, is the closest thing the club has to old-fashioned rivalry.

The senior side only started playing as Caledonian Braves in 2019, when members of the "Our Football Club" scheme voted on the name. Before that, and still alongside it, the organisation ran as Edusport Academy, a residential setup built for French footballers by Chris Ewing. That academy side of things has quietly outgrown the results on the pitch: more than 400 players have passed through it since 2011, over 50 have gone on to professional or semi-professional contracts, and more than 80 have taken scholarships at American universities.

On the field, the club has stacked up honours, including last season's Fenix Trophy and the South of Scotland League title from 2016–17. David Sinclair has been part of that rise since 2016, long enough to have played under the Edusport name and then under the Braves badge that replaced it. Connor McLaren arrived in 2024 from Celtic's youth academy, following his brother Reg, who had already worn the Braves shirt on loan after time at Stirling Albion.

Home games are played in front of at most 500 people at Alliance Park, inside Strathclyde Country Park.
