City Club

The Mirpur Sports & Physical Culture Center (MSPCC) was set up in 1972, in the first year after independence, as one of the institutions that took shape when organised sport in the new country started over. The name City Club came later, when the centre merged with Shahjahanpur SC. The merger is dated to 1985, though some accounts put the naming decision at 1983. The name is credited to Sadeque Hossain Khoka, then General Secretary of the Dhaka Metropolitan Football League Committee.

Since then City Club has stayed in the lower divisions of Bangladeshi football. The one title is the Dhaka Third Division League in 2000. It was followed by a runners-up place in the Dhaka Second Division League in 2003–04, and by second place in the Pioneer Football League in 2017. Home games are played at City Club Ground in Mirpur, a local multipurpose venue that also hosts cricket.

The club's best recent result came in the 2025–26 Bangladesh Championship League, the second tier, where it finished as runners-up. Brothers Union are among its latest opponents.
