Fortis Group, a joint venture between Bangladeshi and German clothing manufacturers, founded the team in 2020 out of Banda in Dhaka. The club skipped the amateur divisions altogether and went straight into the professional pyramid.

It began in the Bangladesh Championship League, the second tier, finishing third in its first season. A year later, under Sheikh Zahidur Rahman Milon, the team went top of the division and won it outright, earning promotion to the Bangladesh Premier League.

Masud Parvez Kaiser has managed the side through that run, in charge since September 2022.
