Russia U15 to Play Under Flag and Anthem at FIFA Event
For the first time since 2022, Russia's U15 team will compete under the national flag and anthem at the FIFA U15 World Cup and Festival in Azerbaijan, October 22-31.

Djibouti had no football federation until 1979, and no international match of its own until 1983, the first after independence. FIFA and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) took the country in only in 1994. That was also the year the national side, known as the Sharks of the Red Sea, made its debut in the CECAFA Cup.
The team has entered that competition 12 times since and reached the group stage each time. It has not got beyond it. Some qualifying campaigns never started: the team has often stayed out or withdrawn, which goes a long way to explaining why the World Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations have never included Djibouti. In the FIFA Arab Cup the story is the same, with no progress past the group stage.
The first trophy came late. In 2023 the Sharks won the Mauritius Four Nations Cup, and the forward Samuel Akinbinu, born in Nigeria, helped them do it. He has since become the country's all-time top scorer, with 11 goals in 25 caps. Ali Youssouf Farada holds the appearance record, 30 caps between 2019 and 2025.
Home games are played at the 20,000-seat El Hadj Hassan Gouled Aptidon Stadium in Djibouti City, in green shirts, white shorts and blue socks taken from the national flag.
A friendly tournament in Mauritius is still the only silverware. The team has yet to reach a World Cup or an Africa Cup of Nations, or to win a knockout tie in the CECAFA Cup.
