Russia U15 to Play Under Flag and Anthem at FIFA Event
For the first time since 2022, Russia's U15 team will compete under the national flag and anthem at the FIFA U15 World Cup and Festival in Azerbaijan, October 22-31.

The Amílcar Cabral Cup came twice, and the second time it took penalties: Sierra Leone beat Senegal 2–0 in 1993, then saw off Mauritania from the spot in 1995. It remains the highest point the Leone Stars have reached. A regional final came again in 2017, when Ghana beat them 4–1 in the WAFU Nations Cup.
The World Cup has stayed out of reach altogether. The Africa Cup of Nations has let them in three times, in 1994, 1996 and 2021, and each time the team went out at the group stage.
Against that background, Mohamed Kallon, who once played for Inter Milan and Monaco, returned in 2025 as head coach.
The Leone Stars play in blue, white and green, the colours of the flag, at the Siaka Stevens National Stadium in Freetown, which holds 45,000.
