Dominica

Promotion out of League C in the 2023/24 CONCACAF Nations League gave Dominica its clearest measure of progress. The team's first match, though, predates all of that structure: an away win over Martinique in 1932, decades before Dominica had a governing body to call its own, let alone the CONCACAF and FIFA membership that followed in 1994.

Results since have run to extremes. A 10–0 win over the British Virgin Islands in October 2010 stands as the team's largest, built on five goals from Kurlson Benjamin in a single game. A defeat by the same scoreline, away to Mexico in 2004, sits at the other end of the record book. Qualification for a World Cup or a Gold Cup has never followed; the deepest the team has gone in the Caribbean Cup is the group stage, managed in 1994 and again in 1998.

Two names carry the team's history in the numbers alone. Glenson Prince holds the appearance record with 79 caps, while Julian Wade's 16 goals make him the leading scorer — Wade also left the island to play professionally, in Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Guadeloupe and Scotland, the first Dominican to do so.

The fiercest matches remain the ones against Saint Lucia, a rivalry rooted in the Windward Islands Tournament years, when the two shared a group and a region long before either had much else to play for.
