Espanyol Women

Ciutat Esportiva Dani Jarque holds barely 1,520 seats. Espanyol Women have played there since the facility opened.

Lluïsa Oliva set the club up in 1970. The results came later: a league title in 2005–06 sat at the centre of a run between 2005 and 2012 that also brought six Copa de la Reina wins and five Copa Catalunya titles.

Raquel Cabezón carried that era on the pitch, thirteen seasons at the club from 1994 to 2007 that made her the name most associated with the Golden Era silverware. Alexia Putellas came through the youth ranks before her career took her elsewhere.

What followed the trophies was relegation in 2021, the first in the club's history, and two seasons in the Segunda División before a play-off promotion in 2023–24 brought them back to Liga F. An eleventh-place finish in 2024–25, under Sara Monforte.

None of it changes what the fixture against FC Barcelona Femení means in Catalonia.
