FC Frankfurt

The ground has stood on the same site since 1925. It opened as the Waldstadion, became the Commerzbank-Arena in 2005, and has carried the name Deutsche Bank Park since 2016. Only the sponsor changes. The 60,100 seats are still where Eintracht Frankfurt play.

The club's roots are older than the stadium. Frankfurter Fußball-Club Victoria von 1899 was founded on 8 March 1899. In 1911 it merged with Kickers, and in 1920 it joined a gymnastics club to become TuS Eintracht Frankfurt. The professional side now runs through a subsidiary company, Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG.

The 1959–60 season is the one the club is still measured against. Eintracht had won the German championship in 1959, its only title, and that took them into the European Cup. They reached the final and lost 7–3 to Real Madrid.

Eintracht won the UEFA Cup in 1980, in the competition now called the Europa League, and won it again in 2022. That victory sent them to the UEFA Super Cup, where they finished as runners-up. The German cup has come five times, most recently in 2017–18.

The supporters have their own names for the team. The derby that matters most is against Kickers Offenbach, and the Hesse derby with Mainz adds a second.
