Heeslinger SC

The club that plays out of the Waldstadion did not grow out of a youth side or a local merger so much as out of a collapse. TuS Heeslingen, itself formed in 1946 from a union of MTV Heeslingen and Sportverein Viktoria Heeslingen, ran up nearly a million euros in unpaid taxes and social security contributions and was dissolved. Heeslinger SC was registered on 1 July 2013 as a new legal entity, and every member had to sign up again from scratch.

The club plays in green and black and is known simply as HSC. The fixture people mark on the calendar is the one against SV Ahlerstedt/Ottendorf, played as the Oberliga-Derby, with FC Ostereistedt/Rhade and SV Ippensen/Wohnste supplying the other local needle.

Individual names surface more often than club silverware does. Goalkeeper Arne Exner held the position for eight years before leaving for Eintracht Norderstedt in 2023. Johannes Eggestein passed through in 2016 on his way to Werder Bremen. Dominique Schneider took over as president in May 2025, succeeding Hermann Klindworth.

A state cup run has yet to go anywhere: in the 2024/25 Niedersachsenpokal, Heeslinger SC went out in the round of 16 to 1. FC Germania Egestorf/Langreder.
