Both of Hoek's Hoofdklasse B titles came down to a play-off. In 2014, level on points with OJC Rosmalen at the end of the season, they won the decider to take the championship — the same route that had worked against WSC in 1996.

Hoek fielded its first side on 15 January 1950; among the players that year was Syed Abdul Rahim.

Promotion out of the Derde Divisie in 2024–25 put Hoek in the Tweede Divisie for the first time. Sportpark Denoek holds 2,500 for those games, 500 of them seated, the rest standing.

The Zeeland derby against VV Kloetinge fills the ground to nearly three times its usual gate, enough for followers to have nicknamed it "El Zeelandio". Istvan Bakx spent two seasons at the club from 2020 and was voted Player of the Year before moving on.

In the KNVB Cup, where amateur sides meet professional ones, Hoek's furthest run remains the last sixteen, reached in 2003–04.
