Juventus SC

Estádio João Marcatto seats around 10,000 and takes its name from Loreno Antônio Marcatto, who took the first presidency. Locals also know it as Arena TopSun. It stands on Rua Mathias José Martins, in the Jaraguá Esquerdo district, and it is where a group of 27 members of the city's Catholic Youth Movement gathered on 1 May 1966 to put a football club together, priests Elemar Scheidt and Odílio Erhardt among them. Juventus was the oldest professional club the city had.

The colours were red, white and black at first. The top-flight run lasted until 1980, and the club went quiet for a stretch before returning to professional football in 1990 and winning the second division to earn its way back up. A financial crisis in 1996 forced a rename to Jaraguá Atlético Clube; the old name, Grêmio Esportivo Juventus, came back in 1998.

Its best finish in the state championship came in 2006, third place behind Figueirense and Joinville. Three years later, futsal legend Falcão took charge of the football department through his Falcão Sports venture. Relegation to the Série B followed in 2022, and the club has since been working through a judicial recovery process to put its finances in order.
