Fluminense-SC

Fluminense, as the merged club was called, dates from 24 October 1948. It joined the Joinville football league in 1952 and turned professional in the local city championships in 1960.

The 1960s were its first good decade. Fluminense won the city's top division in 1965, beating Juventus 8–1 in the deciding game. They won again in 1966 and 1967, and a fourth time in 1971, when a 1–0 win over Tupy drew more than 6,000 people. Tupy were the opponent in three of those four seasons.

Then the club went quiet. It returned to organised competition in 2014, in the third tier of the Santa Catarina state championship, and reached Série B in 2018 by beating Marcílio Dias in the semi-finals. Relegation followed in 2021.

The route back went through 2024. Fluminense went through the Série C season unbeaten and beat Porto União 2–1 in the final. It was the club's first professional title and it carried them up to Série B for 2025. They share the 2,500-capacity Estádio Olímpico Dr. Sadalla Amin Ghanem with their neighbours América, the other side in Joinville's main local rivalry.
