MKS Kluczbork plays regional football out of Opole province. The current side reached the round of 32 in the Polish Cup in 2024/25.

The club took its present shape on 30 June 2003, when KKS Kluczbork merged with LKS Kuniów and a local inter-school sports body. KKS itself traced back to 1945, formed from ZKK Kluczbork and Cresovia Kluczbork.

Waldemar Sobota was the player supporters point to from that era — 93 appearances and 36 goals between 2007 and 2010.

Domestically, the club had gone without a senior trophy until May 2024, when it beat Ruch Zdzieszowice 3-0 in the final to lift the Opole regional cup for the first time.
