Korba

Fakhreddine Galbi came up through the CS Korba academy between 1999 and 2004, played two seasons for the senior side and went on to win caps for Tunisia, a rare path from this Nabeul Governorate club to the national team. They carried that form into the next round, going 2–0 up on Étoile Sportive du Sahel at half-time before the tie slipped away — a 2–2 draw, then a penalty shoot-out lost 5–3.

The club's one league title came in the 1981–82 season, when it topped the North group of Ligue Professionnelle 2 and earned its first promotion to the top flight. The stay lasted a single season: Korba finished bottom in 1982–83 with three wins from thirty-eight matches. In the same cup campaign that year they reached the round of 32 again, this time losing to Espérance de Tunis.

Korba plays out of the Stade Municipal de Korba, and its games against Stade Africain de Menzel Bourguiba, a club from the neighbouring town in the same governorate, have become a fixture of the lower divisions without ever taking on a name of their own. Among the goalkeepers to pass through the club, Bilel Souissi started in Korba's youth ranks before leaving for Espérance Sportive de Tunis, then returned on loan for the 2009–10 season.

The founding year, 1960, sits two decades before that first promotion.
