The spring of 2024 brought the first league title in the club's history, sending the side up to the Regionalliga West for the following season.

The club grew out of the village on the Hofsteig plain in 1946, wearing green and white from the start. Promotions and relegations followed at intervals rather than in any straight line: up to the Landesliga in 1951, into the Regionalliga West for the first time in 1995/96, and the Vorarlberg Cup won the year after, when Lauterach beat FC Dornbirn 1913 in the final. A later climb to the Eliteliga in 2018/19 ended in a drop back down in 2022/23, sixth in the relegation round, before that long-awaited league win reversed the slide.

Their ground carries the name of Bruno Pezzey. The Bruno Pezzey Stadion holds 2,500, and it is where the Hofsteig-Derby against FC Wolfurt is played, a fixture named for the same stretch of land both clubs share.

Pezzey remains the name Lauterach is known by outside the valley.
