Levadiakos

Two second-tier titles, four years apart, tell the story of a club that keeps finding its way back up: Super League 2 in 2021–22 and again in 2023–24, each time earning passage into the top flight of Greek football. That pattern is not new. Levadiakos has spent decades shuttling between the first and second divisions, a habit that earned it the label of a "yo-yo" side long before either of those recent promotions.

The identity underneath the results goes back to a merger. Two clubs from Livadeia, Trofonios and Pallevadiaki, joined forces in 1961, and each left its mark on the shirt: green from Pallevadiaki, blue from Trofonios, worn ever since in vertical stripes that gave the club its nickname, the Blue-Greens. Locally it also carries a grander title, "Emperor of Central Greece," a nod to its standing in a part of the country with few other clubs of note.

Further down the honours list sit older, smaller wins — the Gamma Ethniki in 1965–66 and 1981–82, the Delta Ethniki in 2001–02 — climbs through the lower divisions that came well before the modern Super League 2 breakthroughs.

Vasilis Pliatsikas stands out among the players linked to the club as a genuine product of its own academy, rather than a name simply passing through.

Matches against PAS Lamia 1964 carry their own weight in the region, close enough in geography and level that they have picked up the name "Derby of the Bottom," a fixture between two sides more often found battling the drop than chasing the top.
