Lone Star II

Philadelphia has a large Liberian community. Liberian American immigrants started the parent club in 2001 as Junior Lone Star Football Club. The nickname comes from the Liberian national team, and the white, red and navy blue follow the Liberian flag. The club took the name Philadelphia Lone Star FC in 2018.

The reserve side, Lone Star II, entered the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) in Spring 2018. It reached the division final in its first season and lost to Rochester Super 9 Pro SC. It made a second final in Fall 2019, in the Empire Division, and lost that one to Mass United FC. Its U23 team is known as the Shooting Stars.

The 2018 season was also the parent club's best. It won the EPSA State Open Cup and the EPSA State Amateur Cup for the second time, having taken both in 2016, and it finished top of the Northeast Elite Soccer League regular season.

Home is John Bartram High School Stadium, which holds 600 people. For bigger games the club has moved to the South Philadelphia Super Site, which takes between 3,000 and 4,100. Its main rival is Salone FC, another club from the city's Liberian community, and the meetings are called the "Philadelphia Derby". Reading United AC and West Chester United are the other regional opponents.

Cavan Sullivan went to Philadelphia Union in MLS, and Isaac Angking to Charlotte Independence in the USL Championship.
