Mondercange

Twice, and twice only, Mondercange got as far as a Luxembourg Cup final, and both times Jeunesse Esch stood in the way: 0–3 in 1999, then 1–4 the following year. The second defeat still opened a door nobody at the club had gone through before — a place in the UEFA Cup, where Dinamo București beat them 6–2 at home and 7–0 away.

The club took shape in July 1933, and outlasted the occupation years when it was made to play as FK Monnerich.

Stade Communal holds about 3,300, most of it standing room, and doubles as home to the Luxembourg Football Federation's National Training Centre, where the country's young players are developed alongside the club's own.

Marcel Christophe is the name attached to the best of those cup years — six seasons at the club from 1998 to 2004, top scorer in the national division in 1999–2000, and 25 caps for Luxembourg along the way.
