Against TS 1946 Nida Pińczów, Naprzód plays the Ponidzie Derby; against MKS Czarni Połaniec, it is billed as the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Derby.

Naprzód was founded on 3 August 1928. In 1977/78 the club won the Kielce Voivodeship Championship and went up to III Liga, with Zygmunt Kowalczyk scoring 18 goals that year and Stanisław Magiera not far behind on 17. A second promotion followed in 2006/07, after winning IV Liga Świętokrzyska, and the following season Naprzód beat KSZO Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski to take the regional Polish Cup. A third promotion to III Liga came in 2025.

The club plays as The Yellows and Blacks , in yellow and black, at the Stadion Sportowy KS Naprzód, named in 2014 after Paweł Świerkowski. Built in 1965, it holds around 1,200. Karol Stanek, a centre-forward who came through Piast Gliwice and Widzew Łódź, joined Naprzód in 2026. The club also runs its own youth setup, the Jędrzejowska Akademia Piłkarska.

In 1998, the Polish Football Association gave Naprzód its Golden Badge of Honour.
