Qiziriq

Qiziriq district sits in the Surxondaryo region of Uzbekistan, an agricultural corner far from the country's football strongholds, and for most of its history it had no club to speak of in the professional pyramid. That changed in 2023, when a football club carrying the district's own name entered the lower tiers of Uzbek football.

Qiziriq built its short existence around the Pro League A, the third rung of the national game, competing for regional recognition rather than titles. The club plays its home matches at Alpamysh, a stadium named after the hero of the Central Asian epic that gives the region its folklore, with room for 6,000 spectators.

The club's run under its own name did not last long. In 2025, Qiziriq was reorganised into TerDU, a new side built around Termez State University, a restructuring that folded the district's team into an institution some way from Qiziriq itself. No nickname, no colours, no badge ever attached itself firmly to the club in the years it carried the district's name.

Two years: that is the entire span between Qiziriq's founding and its transformation into TerDU.
