Skenderbeu Korce

Six league titles between 2011 and 2016, taken one after another without a break, remain the fact Korçë measures itself against, and also the one that undid it: in March 2018 UEFA banned Skënderbeu from European competition for ten years and fined the club €1 million over 53 alleged cases of match-fixing, a ruling the Court of Arbitration for Sport upheld. The Albanian Football Association had tried to strip the 2015–16 title and deduct points; CAS overturned that domestic sanction the following month, so the championship stood even as the European ban held. Two further league titles, in 2017 and 2018, followed regardless, taking the count to eight since a first won in 1932–33 under the old name Sportklub Korça. A single Albanian Cup, from 2016–17, and a Supercup won in 2013 sit alongside that record.

The ground carries its own layers of Albanian history: built in 1957 as Stadiumi Korçë, renamed Stadiumi Partizani under communism, and settled on Skënderbeu only in the early 1990s. A 2010–11 renovation fitted individual seats and cut capacity to 5,800.

Armando Broja came up through the club's academy before moving abroad, one thread among several that have tied Korçë to Albania's national side over the years, alongside Lorik Cana and Elseid Hysaj. The match-fixing fallout and the financial strain that followed it caught up with the club in 2022, when Skënderbeu dropped into the Kategoria e Parë.
