In the 2025–26 season, Sporting reached the final of the Division di Honor. They lost it 3-1 to SV Britannia.
The club was founded on 19 June 2001 in Noord, under the presidency of Jacinto C. Croes. Its earlier years were spent in Division Dos and Division Uno. The colours are blue and white, and the home shirt is usually white.
The ground, the Complejo Deportivo Frans Figaroa, belongs to the Aruba Football Federation and is shared with other local clubs.
Goalkeeper Jean-Marc Antersijn joined in September 2025. He has one cap for Aruba and played for Curaçao in 2022. Earlier he kept goal for clubs in the Netherlands, Sweden and the United States. He also won the Golden Glove at the 2014 Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under-20 Tournament with Aruba.
The top flight has also shown how far the club still has to go. SV Dakota beat Sporting 7-0 and 3-0 in 2025/26, and the two sides are the club's most frequent and sharpest rivals. Britannia, who beat them in the final, are the other side Sporting have to overcome to win the title.
