About the player
Diogo Martins Travassos is a product of the Sporting academy.
A product of the Sporting academy, the right-back signed his first professional contract on 7 June 2021. He was included in Sporting's first-team squad list for the 2024/25 season but did not make an official appearance for the club he came through.
Estrela da Amadora took him in 2024–25, and he moved on loan to Moreirense for 2025/26, announced in August 2025 and wearing the number 2 shirt. He made nine league appearances for the club plus two in other competitions, without scoring or assisting.
At youth level, Travassos has represented Portugal from under-18 through under-21, collecting six caps at U18, six at U19, two at U20 and six at U21, scoring twice at the latter level following a call-up in October 2025. He has not featured for the senior national team.
