St. Pölten II

When FCN St. Pölten dissolved, the city needed a new club, and the one formed on 6 June 2000 was built with a second team in mind from the start. SKN St. Pölten II, also called the Juniors or the Amateure, was set up alongside the senior side as its development squad, a place for young players to get matches before the first team.

The reserves soon showed they could win things. In 2001–02, playing simply as SKN St. Pölten, they took the Niederösterreichische Landesliga, the fourth tier in Lower Austria. The Lower Austrian Cup followed in 2009–10, with a final win over ASK Bad Vöslau.

The league title came again in 2013–14, this time under the name SKN St. Pölten Juniors. It led to two seasons in the Regionalliga Ost, the third tier, in 2015–16 and 2016–17.

The setting is modest. The first team has the NV Arena. The reserves play on the training pitches of the Sportzentrum Niederösterreich, known as the Voith-Platz. Blue, yellow and red are the club colours, and the senior side's nickname, Die Wölfe, and its "Wolfsrevier" apply here too. The rivalries with Admira Wacker and SV Stockerau belong to the first team. The reserves have no derby of their own.
