Tallinna FC Zapoos

Jürgen Orumaa scored more than anyone else in the IV Liiga in 2017, the season Tallinna FC Zapoos first played in the Estonian Football Association's official league system. The forward's goals helped the club to fourth place in its first year in the fourth tier.

The route there was unusual. Zapoos began in January 2013 in the Rahvaliiga, the People's League, an amateur competition the association runs outside the pyramid. Markus Mikko, a midfielder who joined in 2016 and is remembered as a top scorer, arrived while the club was still outside it.

Promotion to the III Liiga, the fifth tier, followed in 2018. The club also entered the Estonian Cup in both of its first seasons in the system. It reached the first round in 2017 and the second in 2018.

The club's home has changed with its standing. It once used the artificial pitch at Kalevi Keskstaadion, which holds 270. It now plays in its own district, Lasnamäe, at the Infoneti Lasnamäe Jalgpallistaadion, which holds 1,200. Local rivals such as Lasnamäe Ajax play in the same lower divisions, though no derby has a name of its own.

2021 was the club's best year. Zapoos won the III Liiga North and took the Väike karikas, the Small Cup for lower-tier and amateur sides, in the same season. They reached the Small Cup final again in 2023 but lost it, and finished third in the league that year on 42 points.
