Unia Turza Śląska

In the shadow of larger towns in the Silesian Voivodeship, KS Unia Turza Śląska was founded in 1924 through the merger of two local sports associations, 'Strzelec' and 'Sokół', and the club’s identity is inextricably linked to the village of Turza Śląska. The club competes in the lower tiers of Polish football, specifically the IV Liga Śląska II.

In the 2021/2022 season, they secured the IV Liga Śląska II title in dramatic fashion against Polonia Łaziska Górne. This victory was more than a league win; it earned them promotion playoffs, which they subsequently won in 2022 after defeating Szczakowianka Jaworzno in the decisive second leg, 4:1. This marked their second promotion to the III Liga, the first having occurred in 2015. These achievements stand alongside their modest facilities at Stadion LKS Unia Turza Śląska, which holds just 2,000 spectators on a natural grass surface.

While the colours of green and red fly high, the club has also found success in regional cup competitions, winning the Puchar Polski at the Racibórz Subdistrict level in both 2019/2020 and 2021/2022. Their story is one of climbing back up the pyramid, season after season, against opponents who know their strengths and weaknesses intimately. The supporters at ul. Bogumińska 17 do not need grand stadiums; they need their side to keep their heads when the pressure mounts.
