Wuhan Three Towns II spent the 2025 season, its first in senior football, in China League Two.

The route into the league came the previous December, when the club's under-21 side won the national U21 championship and earned the parent club a professional entry. He stayed until June 2026, when the club moved him back into its youth academies and handed the reserves to Chang Weiwei.

One name from the first season stands out: Chen Long, named player of the round in May 2025.
