The Zira Olympic Sport Complex holds 1,500 people. Zira FK have played there since they first took the field.

The club was founded on 28 July 2014 and did not start in the top flight. Its first season was spent in the First Division, the second tier. In the Premier League debut that followed, 2015/16, Zira finished runner-up.

They finished second in the league again in 2023/24, then again in 2024/25. Since 2017/18 the club has taken part in the Europa League and Conference League most seasons without ever reaching a group stage.
