About

The Asia Cup Rising Stars is a developmental cricket tournament organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). It serves as a platform for emerging talent in the region, featuring National 'A' teams and youth squads rather than senior national sides. The men's competition was inaugurated in 2013 as a 50-over Under-23 event. It later evolved to include 'A' teams and switched to the T20 format from the 2023/2024 season. The tournament received its current name in 2025.

A separate women's edition began in 2023. The event is a standalone international fixture with no promotion or relegation links to domestic leagues. Associate nations typically qualify through their performance in the ACC Men's Premier Cup. Matches follow a structure of a group stage, semi-finals, and a final. The 2025 edition concluded in Doha, Qatar, with Pakistan Shaheens defeating Bangladesh A in a Super Over to claim the title.

Historical success is shared between Sri Lanka A and Pakistan A, who each hold two victories. Sri Lanka won in 2017 and 2018, while Pakistan secured titles in 2019 and 2023. Afghanistan A claimed the 2024 championship. The primary objective remains player development rather than senior international prestige. The official ACC website is asiancricket.org.
