Central Europe Cup 2022/23

The Central Europe Cup is an annual international men’s cricket tournament held in Prague, Czech Republic, at the Vinoř Cricket Ground. Organized by the Czech Cricket Union, the event was founded in 2014 to serve as a regional development platform for Central and Eastern European nations. It operates separately from the broader European Cricket Championship, which involves all ICC Europe members and utilizes a T10 format.

The tournament gathers a small number of teams, typically between three and four, competing in a round-robin format. Since 2019, matches have been played in the Twenty20 (T20) format with official T20 International status; prior to that, they were 50-over ODIs. The competition is invitational and does not have a promotion or relegation system.

The Czech Republic stands as the most successful team with four titles, won in 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2023. Poland secured the first three editions in 2014, 2015, and 2017, while Switzerland claimed victory in 2018. Austria won in 2021 and again in 2025. The 2020 edition was cancelled due to the pandemic, and the 2024 men’s edition appears not to have been held.

The current champions are Austria, who won the 2025 edition by finishing top of the points table on net run rate despite a head-to-head loss to Norway.
