About

Central Europe Cup is an annual cricket tournament hosted in Prague, primarily at the Scott Page Field in Vinoř. Organized by the Czech Cricket Union, the event was established in 2014 and transitioned from a 50-over format to Twenty20 (T20) in 2019. Since 2021, the matches have held official T20 International status, allowing them to be recognised as full international fixtures between national boards. The competition serves as a developmental platform for Central European nations, sitting below the official ICC Europe Division leagues in terms of formal ranking points. It is distinct from the European Cricket Championship, which is a continental T10 tournament organised by the private European Cricket Network. The Central Europe Cup operates as an invitational tournament rather than a league division, meaning there is no formal promotion or relegation system. The standard format involves a tri-series where three national teams play a double round-robin. Recent editions have consistently featured three teams, such as Austria, Norway, and the Czech Republic in the 2025 Men's edition. Historically, the Czech Republic is the most successful men's team with four titles, according to available records. Poland follows with three titles, and Switzerland has one. Austria won the 2021 and 2025 editions. In the women's competition, Croatia won the inaugural 2024 edition, and Austria won the 2025 edition. The tournament was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic. The current holder of the men's title is Austria.
